More about Dr. Lisa DeRosa
Dr. Lisa DeRosais a native of central Connecticut who traveled to the Midwest to pursue her veterinary education, graduating from Purdue University’s School of Veterinary Medicine in 2002. Since then, she has devoted her entire career to small animal community practice in Connecticut, caring for dogs and cats while building long-term relationships with the families who love them.
For Dr. DeRosa, veterinary medicine, has always been more than a profession. It’s the realization of a childhood dream rooted in a lifelong love of animals and science. That passion continues to shape her work today, as she pairs current medical knowledge with a practical, compassionate approach to patient care.
At Glastonbury Veterinary Hospital, Dr. DeRosa’s care reflects the hospital’s core values, including progressive medicine, proactive and preventative care, and a deep commitment to treating every pet as if they were her own. She emphasizes thorough wellness care and clear communication, helping clients understand what’s happening, what to watch for, and how to make confident decisions for their pets.
Outside the clinic, Dr. DeRosa’s love of animals and the natural world carries into her personal life. She enjoys hiking, gardening, birding, and exploring the beaches, ponds, and marshes of Cape Cod.
